Helping our worldwide community has always been a guiding principle of Rotary and supported by our club. Rotary Foundation is Rotary’s own charity and is funded by us and clubs throughout the world. Foundation gives grants for both District and Global projects.

Rotary has worked tirelessly to END POLIO, today we are near to attaining our goal as the disease has almost been eradicated. We must continue the fight through immunisation and education to see the battle won.  The crocus is the symbol of our campaign we hope you were able to see our planting in front of the bandstand this year.

The clubs main support over the years has been to help in times of disaster through our support of the AQUABOX and SHELTERBOX programmes. Our most recent donation was to support the famine relief programme in Yemen.

Leighton Linslade Club member Peter spends half his time in Laos running LEOT a UK charity supporting the education of disadvantaged students and their village communities. Our club supports the school by funding a teacher Mai’s salary.

LEOT also receives support from our wider community with gifts of clothing; Heath and Reach WI has knitted thousands of jumpers for village children over the last five years.
