We are a service club for all, which is dynamic, forward thinking and dedicated to supporting the community at a local, national and international level, while also enjoying numerous social activities. We have thirty members of both genders with a wide range of experience and interests and we are always on the lookout for people who would like to help our community and have a good time doing it.

Community activities are a large part of our agenda and we run the town’s May Day Fayre and annual firework display, both of these events are highlights in the towns’ calendar and the funds raised support the club’s charitable donations. In addition, the Club assists Santa in his visits to the town in December which brings joy to young and old alike and again supports local charities. Santa’s visits culminate on Christmas Eve with thousands gathering to sing traditional carols in our High St something quite unique in Bedfordshire and the real highlight of Christmas for many.

Socially the club meets every Monday evening at the Leighton Buzzard Golf Club often enjoying a wide variety of entertaining speakers. Our active social committee organises events during the year as diverse as visiting the Globe Theatre in London, our twin club in Lesquin France or Greyhound Racing at Towcester and we have been known to frequent some of Europe’s best cities during a weekend January break.

The clubs charitable donations which stem from the generosity of the Leighton-Linslade community are carefully thought through and only given after significant due diligence. In recent years we have been able to donate in excess of £30,000 each year and beneficiaries have ranged from the NSPCC and The MS Society to smaller local charities impacting a wide range of people in the community. We have also been able to help nationally in things such as flood relief were the Rotary network has been able to target funds where they were really needed. Rotary is of course a international organisation and we have our own international project called LEOT in far flung Laos which supports young people in education and English language skills.

We really hope you enjoy browsing our website and indeed our associated Facebook coverage, if you see us out and about in the community please do stop us for a chat and if you like the idea of being part of a fellowship of like minded dynamic, forward thinking, community based folks then please contact us.
