Rotarians visit school at Rorke’s Drift

A small cadre of Leighton Linslade Rotarians have been in South Africa as part of Rotarian Alex Jackson’s Ride for Rhinos campaign and the wildlife spotted on the trip has been truly stunning. However another highlight was stopping off at the school sited at Rorke’s Drift which of course was immortalised in the Michael Caine film ZULU and which saw a record number of Victoria Crosses awarded. 

The Rotarians had the opportunity to interact with the children at the school where they were also able to distribute both school equipment and personal hygiene items for the students donated by the Leighton Linslade Community.
