About Us

We are a service club for all. We are dynamic, forward thinking and dedicated to supporting the community at a local, national and international level, whilst also enjoying numerous social activities. We have over forty members with a wide range of experience, interests and backgrounds. We are always on the lookout for people who would like to help our community and have a good time doing it. Community activities are a large part of our agenda. Our fundraising activities raise considerable funds which we reinvest in the town. We run the town’s May Day Fayre and “Yes we can!” Sports project for Young People with additional needs. In addition, the Club assists Santa in his visits to the town in December which brings joy to young and old alike. Santa’s visits culminate on Christmas Eve with thousands gathering to sing traditional carols in our High St something quite unique in Bedfordshire and the real highlight of Christmas for many.

In recent years we have been able to raise and donate in excess of £25,000 each year and beneficiaries have ranged from the Town’s two foodbanks, the MS Society, local Scout and Guiding groups to smaller local charities impacting a wide range of people in the community. Rotary is of course an international organisation and we have our own international project called LEOT in far flung Laos which supports young people in education and English language skills and we have also helped provide accommodation modules to Ukraine.
